Grant Lawrence

Grant Lawrence is an award-winning writer, musician, broadcaster, and live event host. He is the author of four best-selling books for adults: Adventures in Solitude (2010), The Lonely End of the Rink (2013), Dirty Windshields (2017), and his latest number one bestseller, Return to Solitude (2022). Bailey the Bat and the Tangled Moose, his first children’s picture book, was released in 2021. Grant Lawrence is the first author in the history of the BC Book Prizes to win the Bill Duthie Booksellers Choice twice. Grant is also the host of the CBC Music Top 20, the lead singer of the internationally acclaimed garage band The Smugglers, a Canadian Screen Award winner, and a former newspaper columnist. He is also a goalie for the Vancouver Flying Vees beer league hockey team. Grant Lawrence is married to musician Jill Barber and they live in Vancouver with their two children. In 2024, Grant's latest children's picture book, Adventures in Desolation Sound, will be released.

Since debuting in 1999, Canadian singer/songwriter Matthew Barber has built a sturdy reputation as a consummate source for literate rock, folk, and Americana. He is also a much sought after producer and has worked with many artists including Clever Hopes and Noah Reid.

Clerel

A natural-born vocalist, soul singer & songwriter Clerel nurtured his taste for melody in his coastal hometown of Douala, Cameroon, where he grew up listening to music from his parents’ record collection, which ranged from church hymns and afrobeat to French chanson.

As a child, he developed a habit of singing his favorite songs to himself as a way to “listen” to them whenever he desired, an exercise that helped hone his signature smooth tone.

Hannah Georgas

Acclaimed indie-pop-singer-songwriter Hannah Georgas crafts textured pop songs with lyrics about heartbreak and change, coupled with incredibly catchy hooks. Hannah has released four albums to date and has received wide acclaim in outlets including The New York Times, The Guardian and NPR Music. She has been nominated for The Juno Music Awards several times ranging from Best New Artist to Songwriter of The Year and has also been long listed for The Polaris Music Prize three times.

Miranda Mulholland

Miranda Mulholland is a JUNO nominated Canadian Singer and Fiddler. She is in high demand as a solo performer and as a collaborator. Dubbed the “Sweet secret weapon”of Canadian Roots Music” by Brad Wheeler at the Globe and Mail, her touring and recording credits include Great Lake Swimmers, Belle Starr, Bowfire, Harrow Fair, AlanDoyle, The Jim Cuddy Band and many, many more. She has performed on over 100 albums as well as on TV show and film scores and in theatre. She runs a boutique record label out of Toronto called Roaring Girl Records which is the home to a select group of diverse artists. Miranda’s new solo music is an exploration of original and traditional folk song using the full palette of her violin and voice with looping and effects pedals. Miranda is the founder of Muskoka Music Festival.
