We at Muskoka Music Festival love the craft of Songwriting. A good song can be an empathy maker - taking the listener into another person’s experience, putting them directly in their shoes. It can be an act of protest or a gesture of love! (This may sound cheesy but it’s absolutely true!) It can be a time machine and take the listener back to when they first heard it.

SO - Let’s hear ‘em! We’re holding a Muskoka Music Festival Songwriting Competition! You can submit a new, unreleased original song to our panel of judges either by video or audio. You must also submit the lyrics. Because songwriting and performing are not the same thing, you will be judged on the quality of the song, not the sound or performance quality! Open to all ages.

One rule! The song must be inspired by Muskoka. We’re looking for a theme song!

DUE DATE - June 1st at 5pm, EST!

HOW TO SUBMIT - Email your song via dropbox, voice memo, link, video or audio to Miranda@RoaringGirlRecords.com with Muskoka Music Festival Songwriting Competition as the subject.

PRIZE
